My shoot of the lovely Isobel (Tamblyn Models) that was styled by the very talented Kate Ryder was recently published online at C-Heads Magaine.
The entire 'Old Enough' series is now on my website.
Above is a selection of shots from a quick model test I did with Kathryn from Tamblyn Models in my new home a couple of weeks ago.
I moved into a new place recently, leaving my old house very empty and quiet. I took the opportunity to shoot a model test with the lovely Charly from Vivien's Model Management.
I was also pretty happy for the shoot to be published in the latest issue of Pony Anarchy, one of my favourite online magazines. You can read the magazine here.
The entire 'Sunday Morning' series is now on my website.
A very retro unit block I found when we were house hunting | Two neighbors sitting on their roof waiting for the fireworks | Location scouting in Cairns for the bridal party portraits | My fringe was finally cut so I could see again | A cloudy morning | The before and after of my old bedroom once I had finished packing | Our lovely new house | My last minute Halloween costume
This last month has been a busy one. I returned from a whirlwind overseas trip only to find that I had to move house within a couple of weeks. I also shot my first wedding and booked some exciting new work. November will be an even busier month as my friend Annika and I put the final touches on the debut issue of a magazine we are launching in December. Follow me on instagram @bethmlane
Last week I drove to the coast to shoot with one of the first models I ever worked with, Melinda Bellefonte. We battled the wind and the sand to create these shots. The entire series can be found on my website.
Over the weekend I was very lucky to help Danny shoot the coolest wedding I've ever been to for a couple of good friends of ours, Benj and Emm. We flew in to Cairns at 2am Thursday morning and spent the next two days exploring the Kuranda area for the perfect portrait location and preparing ourselves and our several cameras for the event. Saturday, the wedding day was so hectic but so quickly over. The rain taunted everyone all morning, but as soon as the bride managed to fit her dress into the car to be driven to the ceremony, the sun came out. We tried our best to capture the wedding and all of it's beautiful quirkiness; the fairy lights, the quiet lake, the crazy dancing, the colourful flowers and the moving speeches. We then spent Sunday morning relaxing in the pool, trying to recuperate.
Above are a couple of shots Danny took with his Iphone, we'll have the complete series soon!
I flew back yesterday from a whirlwind trip across the North Island of New Zealand. I went with my boyfriend Danny who is also a photographer and we wanted to capture as much of the country as we could manage in 6 days. We saw mountains, snow, deserts, green hills, capes, volcanoes, cliff-sides and black sandy beaches. We followed dirt tracks, bush paths, windy mountain roads and highways. I slept a fourteen hour night last night to recuperate, but I can't wait to begin editing the hundreds of photos. The two above are a preview, taken with my Iphone.
